Michell, Sonja and Afa work as therapists, coaches and mindfulness practitioners at Moksha Living. They will be joining together to bring a diverse fusion of different disciplines including meditation, yoga, IREST, somatic experiencing and mindfulness practices for this Intentional Living series.
Michell Stanley
LICSW, LIFE COACH, REIKI PRACTITIONER, YOGA THERAPIST
Michell has been cultivating a community of conscious individuals cultivating fulfillment through healthy lifestyle, fulfilling relationships and alignment with purpose. These workshops support this mission in collaboration with individual services and group coaching.
In her individual work, Michell is a somatic psychotherapist and life coach. She has worked with Radio One, George Washington University Hospital and NASA helping individuals to live the life they wish for.
Afa Alizada
COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING, 200-HOUR RYT, LEVEL I iREST TEACHER, LEVEL II REIKI PRACTITIONER
Afa is a holistic counselor, who offers mindfulness-based and trauma-informed approaches to helping clients reach their wellness goals. She is trained in Integrative Restoration (iRest) -- an evidence-based method of mindfullness meditation that has proven effective in reducing stress and anxiety; increasing energy, focus, and creativity; improving sleep, and supporting treatment of post-traumatic stress. As a certified yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner, Afa enjoys incorporating mindful movement, meditation and energy healing into her work with clients to facilitate mind-body-spirit integration, and activate the body's inmate intelligence to heal itself.
Sonja Favaloro
MINDFULNESS-BASED THERAPIST-IN-TRAINING, CERTIFIED PSYCHOSYNTHESIS LIFE COACH
Sonja is a holistic mental health counselor who offers a combination of mindfulness-based techniques and traditional psychotherapy modalities to help clients connect the mind and body, calm the nervous system, and feel grounded. She is a graduate student of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Naropa University, with a speciality in Mindfulness-Based Counseling. She is also a certified Psychosynthesis Life Coach, which is a holistic form of coaching. In Sonja's work with individuals, she uses a holistic approach that supports clients in letting go of old limiting patterns and starting to cultivate inner resources and self-compassion, while focusing on the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. She believes that community connection facilitates healing and growth, and is excited to build community through the Intentional Living Meditation Series.
